Some of the consequences of misusing or abusing prescription drugs include:
- uncontrollable diarrhea, vomiting and nausea
- body function disruptions — including excessive sweating, urination or thirst
- drowsiness, dizziness, shaking, insomnia
- severe and extensive rashes
- hospitalization
- death
Prescription drug abuse can affect you in other ways that aren’t physical. It can affect other parts of your life, too; important parts — like your education, and relationships with your family and friends.
